We celebrated the first anniversary of the Lufthansa Group's Innovation Runway, the innovation program for all LHG Innovators.
As part of the anniversary event, we had a special pitch session of our Innovation Growth Fund, where 4 teams selected from our last Passenger Experience Innovation Challenge were able to pitch their ideas in order to receive funding for their first prototype. 2 teams moved forward with projects that further increase our premium positioning towards our customers, adding to the 30 projects funded throughout our first year.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, we also invited teams that have already received funding to report on their experiences and the current status of their projects, to develop a culture of learning and safe experimentation and to show how the Innovation Runway is already bearing fruit. Such as the XR Cabin Training project from Lufthansa Aviation Training, the NFT Trading App "Uptrip" from Lufthansa Innovation Hub or the AI ATM project from zeroG & Lufthansa Group.
