Your tasks as an Detail Inspector may include, among others:

Tasks

Performs Quality Control inspections to determine serviceability and repairability of components and sub-assemblies
Provides final return to service on components, sub-assemblies and engines (with appropriate certification and authorization)
Reads and interprets engine manuals, aircraft manuals and work orders to perform required duties
Creates and uses necessary inspection documents such as Shop Travelers, Dimensional Insp. Sheets, etc
Use’s precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) as needed
Detects errors and corrects through proper departmental channels
Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements
